Ronn Kistler, 74, of New York, N.Y., is an actor, director, theater consultant, playwright and acting teacher. Outside of his career in theater, Kistler enjoys singing karaoke at restaurants.

"You discover things about other people in studying them and learning how to reproduce an emotion, a gesture, a character on stage, but in so doing, you also have to find parts of yourself that are mirroring the character you're playing; so that you can be honestly playing it and not just pasting it on," Kistler said.
